Some appointments — the DMV first of all — are gone the moment they appear, and the only way in is to refresh a page all day or pay someone who runs bots. LineRight Regbot is a line instead: an open one, where everyone can see who is waiting and in what order. You take a place in it; the LineRight Regbot apps, running on the computers of everyone in line, watch for openings; and when one comes up that is yours, your own app books it for you, from your own computer.
A queue for appointment systems that never have enough slots, run in the open. It is not the DMV and does not sell appointments: it keeps an honest order among the people who want one, and gets each opening to the first of them who can take it.
Every line is public: how many people are waiting, in what order, and what each place is staked at. Nobody is quietly ahead of you, and a bot that wants a slot has to stand in the same list as everyone else — at a position anybody can see — and outbid rather than out-refresh.
The desktop apps of the people in line take turns looking at the booking site for cancellations, each from its own computer, and report what they see. The LineRight Regbot site decides who is first. Finding a slot gives nobody a claim on it — the order does.
Your name, licence number and date of birth never reach LineRight Regbot. They are kept by the app on your computer, which types them into the booking form itself when your turn comes — the same form you would have filled in by hand.

Here, on this site. It holds your places in line and your credits — nothing else about you.
The app shows a short code; you approve it here while signed in. It never asks for your password. It can bring your details across from the browser you already use.
Choose the service, an office or anywhere within a few miles, and the dates that suit you. Stake credits on your place; raise if you need to move up.
It takes its turn looking for openings for everyone, and hears within a second when one is yours. You can get on with your day.
Your app books it with the details on your computer and tells you the confirmation. If the site wants a human check, it opens the page for you to finish.
An opening is worth something for seconds to minutes — anyone outside LineRight Regbot can book it too. So it goes to the front of the line quickly, and never waits on somebody who is not there.
A place in a line is staked with credits. A bid holds them while you wait; they come back in full if you leave the line, or if the booking does not happen. They are spent only when an appointment is booked for you — and a bid your credits cannot cover is refused.

No. LineRight Regbot is independent. It books through the same public booking site you would use, with your details, from your computer — it just gets there when a slot opens, in the order of the line.
No. The credits on a bid are only held. Leave the line, or let the booking not happen, and they all come back to you. They are spent only when an appointment is booked for you.
The app books it without you, as long as it is running and online. If it cannot — the site wants a human check, or the app is closed — the slot goes on to the next person, and you keep your place for the next opening.
Because everyone's app looking together sees far more than any one of them could, and nobody has to run a server farm to do it. What your app finds goes to whoever is first — which is sometimes you. You can turn it off in the app's settings.
California DMV is the first booking system LineRight Regbot talks to for real. The app will not look or book on the real DMV until you say it may, in its settings — it is automated traffic from your own internet address, and a booking it makes is a real appointment in your name.
They can bid more, in the open, where everyone can see it — which is the point. The line shows what a place is worth to the people in it, instead of the slot going to whoever runs the fastest script.
Ask for it on the Ask for a line page, or from the app's Sites screen: which site, which appointments, where. Everyone who asks for the same one is counted together, so the most wanted come first, and you see the answer under your account and in the app. If you run a booking system and want a line for it, say so there too.
Withdraw from a line in the app and your credits come back at once. Unpair an app from your account page. The app's Start over deletes everything it keeps on your computer.

No build is published yet. These three buttons go to the project's

An account holds your places in line and your credits. Your name and details are not part of it — those stay in the app, on your machine.
The first time it opens, the app asks you to create your account — or sign in — and shows

pairing page with that code in it; approve it, and the app signs in as you within a few seconds.
